Catering HQ is seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our amazing kitchen teams at Club Parramatta. We have opportunities in both our Restaurant and Function/Event Kitchen.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
• Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
• Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
• Ability to contribute to menu planning
• Immaculate presentation and grooming
• Ability to handle large service numbers
• Exceptional customer care and service skills and knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
• Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
• Confidence to take charge and own the result, yet humble enough to listen and learn
• Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
• Should be able to control and manage daily kitchen functions

KEY QUALITIES

• A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Be flexible with working hours
• A team spirit, bright and positive demeanour
