Catering HQ is seeking a talented and dedicated Pastry Chef to join our amazing kitchen team at Catering HQ Wholefoods production kitchen.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must display excellent prep, baking and presentation skill
• Demonstrate a keen interest in growing food trends, techniques and the ability to contribute to menu planning
• Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
• Ability to handle large service numbers providing desserts for all venues
• Exceptional knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
• Excellent supportive and leadership skill set
• Confidence to put forward new ideas and humble enough to listen and learn
• Honest and results focused - able to give and receive genuine feedback and take action as needed
• Immaculate presentation and grooming

KEY QUALITIES

• A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Be flexible with working hours - Shifts are 2pm until 10pm
• A team spirit, bright and positive demeanour
